HC-02 Bluetooth module, which is fully compatible with the HC-06, allows wireless communications to the Arduino. Programmed with correct settings and default PIN of 1234. Comes with 4 conductor F/F cable. Use the center four pins in a straight through fashion.

I retract my previous comment; Bluetooth works like a charm. Highly recommended. After connecting it correctly, it worked without any issues.

Glad to hear that you got it sorted. For the record we have never sold an HC-05. Early on we sold HC-06 modules, but the chipset for those is obsolete and the copies are many and varied. So many years ago we switched to HC-02, which only seem to be made by one company, and are generally good quality. Seems I should update the description.

The description indicates a 4-pin HC-06, like the one shown in the image. The one I received was a 6-pin HC-05, which never worked.
